Who am I?
Hi, I am Tim
Since November 2023, I have been working on my PhD at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light in Erlangen. Before that, I studied in the Master of Photonics programme at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Before coming to Erlangen, I spent a year abroad near Paris at the Institut d’Optique. There, at the Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (C2N), I wrote my master’s thesis.
I love to learn new things in my spare time – which is why I created this website 😊
My experiences
From August 2020 to July 2021, I spent a year as a working student in innovation management at Jenoptik AG. This activity gave me enormously valuable insights.

My values
- Good and honest communication with other people is extremely important to me.
- I try to live sustainability in all areas of my daily life.
